We are here to help our customers send money to family and friends overseas, as usual despite COVID-19.

The health and safety of our valued customers, staff and the local community is always our top priority. We will ensure we provide a COVID-19 safe environment while you send or exchange money at all of our branches. Our branches are open with social distancing and hygiene practices in place to ensure your visit is safe and stress-free including having hand sanitisers available for you to use. Our staff have been trained to be COVID-19 safe and their health is monitored.

During this uncertain time, sending money online has many benefits including:

  • Reduced transfer fees including special discounts of up to 80% off transfer fees
  • Available around the clock 24/7


Stay-at-home orders have been introduced for Greater Sydney including the local government areas of Fairfield, Canterbury-Bankstown and Liverpool.

As a financial institution, we provide this critical service to support our customers to send money to their overseas family. Our Cabramatta, Canley Heights and Bankstown branches remain open for walk-in customers as normal.

While we are open, we urge our customers from the above areas to follow the stay-at-home orders and send money online or contact us via phone, email and chat.

In addition to our active COVID-19 safe plan, we have proactively contracted Aeromist who have applied the Zoono surface sanitiser. This specialised surface sanitiser will give protection to our customers and staff for high-touch surfaces for up to 30 days against COVID-19. Our branches in other states are open for walk-in customers as normal and masks must be worn for some states. Click here to find the restriction information by state.

What are the conditions of entry at our branches?

To maintain the safety and health of our team and customers, we ask you not to enter our store if the following conditions apply:

  • You have tested positive for COVID-19;
  • You are awaiting the results of a test for COVID-19 or reside with anyone who is awaiting the results of a test for COVID-19;
  • You have any symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat or shortness of breath;
  • You have been in contact with anyone who has or may have or COVID-19;
  • You have travelled overseas in the past 14 days
Are the branches still open?
Yes – all branches are open. Please go to the Find & Contact Us page for the address, trading hours and contact number.
Are the branches accepting cash?
Yes – we are accepting cash, with our normal cash limits and also accept EFTPOS. You’re also able to pay by internet transfer, BPAY or POLi – contact us for more information.
Is the money transfer service online the same as in-branch?
Yes – exactly the same. If you visit a Hai Ha Money Transfer, Remox or First Eastern FX branch then service is the same as what is being offered online.
Is there any delay to the money transfer services?
No, we are operating as normal as we have both in-branch and online services.
Is there any delay to receive money in the country I send to?
At the moment, there are possible delays to:
  • Any pick-up services – depending on the restrictions in the receiving country
Are you buying foreign currency at this time?
Yes – we are buying the following currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, NZD, HKD, CAD, CNY, KRW, VND, IDR and SGD. Contact us if you wish to sell a different currency.
Are you selling foreign currency at this time?
Yes – we are selling all currencies. There may be a slight delay in being able to fulfil your order but we will inform you once your order is placed. Contact us if you wish to check first.
Is there anything else I should be aware of about COVID-19 and money transfers?
Yes - there will be many scammers who will try to take advantage of the fear of vulnerable people. Don't be a victim. Be alert to fraudulent emails, SMS messages, calls and social media saying they have information about the virus that may trick you to purchase fake cures, vaccines, medical supplies.
